Katherine Heigl has opened up about her childhood living in "a the white bubble." The actress also discusses the impact that this realization has had on her parenting of adoptees who are multi-racial. In an interview with her, Katherine Heigl said recently that, with regards to skin color the issue isn't that important. But after speaking to her sister, who was adopted by South Korea she realized just the way society views people of different races. "I inquired of my sister, Meg whether she'd been treated one way when she went going out with us parents and in a different manner when she went out by herself without them. Meg responded "Oh Yes! All the time!" This made me realize I was so ignorant," Heigl said to parents. She became enraged at the time, and chose to channel her anger into support her two adopted daughters. Heigl has a son who is 4 years and Josh Kelley, her husband for 13 years. Their daughter was adopted by them Nancy Leigh, 12, from South Korea in 2009 and Adalaide eight and Black from South Korea in 2012.
