Arike Ogunbowale

Arike Ogunbowale is a professional basketball player for the Dallas Wings, a team within the Women's National Basketball Association. She played for Notre Dame Fighting Irish in college, before being drafted as the fifth pick overall by the Wings during the 2019 WNBA draft. Arike Ogunbowale is a Milwaukee Wisconsin native born to Yolanda Ogunbowale. Mario Ogunbowale and Dare Ogunbowale are both 20-years old. Being the youngest of her siblings she was the most spoilt of her parents. Gregory Ogunbowale's father was a soldier in the Nigerian Army. Ogunbowale hails from a dynamic family. Arike also participated in three years of varsity football while she studied there. Ogunbowale's skills led her to impressive victories while at the school. Ogunbowale managed to take home gold at the 2013 FIBA Americas U16 Championships and the 2014 World Championships of FIBA U17. In July of 2014 she was chosen as a player on the USA Youth Olympic Women's Basketball Team. Ogunbowale was named as a member of the ACC All-Freshman Team following her first collegiate year. Kobe Bryant even thanked her for a number of large shots in the NCCA Tournament. Ogunbowale is a promising basketball player who has proven to be an outstanding star.
