Aspen Ladd

Aspen Ladd's combat sport journey began at 14 years old. She was trained in boxing, kickboxing wrestling, and BJJ. She made her first amateur appearance at 18, at WCFC in a fight against Jaimee Nievera. Ladd became more confident after the win and fought 3 fights at Ultimate Reno Combat. Her adversaries were defeated all by the start of the round. Ladd returned to WCFC and defeated Leslie Rodriguez through a unanimous decision. Aspen defeated Silvia Babaeghian Maddy Simmons and Cynthia Calvillo before facing Cynthia Calvillo in WCFC 9 Cynthia defeated Aspen and beat her in a an unanimous vote to remove an ominous mark on her amateur record. Ladd recovered from the loss with a win over Roma Pawelek in Tuff-N'-Uff, making her record 8-1. Aspen began her career in 2015after signing with Invicta FC for her professional debut. Invicta Fc 11 was her first fight. She dominated Ana Carolina Vidal and won the the first round via TKO. Invicta Fc16 was Aspen's first fight in the Bantamweight division. She defeated Amanda Cooper with an armbar during the second round. Aspen employed the strong techniques she learned from wrestling to take on McGill. She ended her bout via an KO (3rd round) (elbows, punches). Aspen was then able to fight Jessica Hoy for Invicta FC18 in a catchweight of 138.1lb. Ladd was not able make the weight, however, Aspen was victorious and defeated Hoy by TKO. In her last fight for the promotion, she defeated Sijara Eubanks in a unanimous decision at Invicta FC 21. Aspen Ladd debuted in the UFC in the 118th UFC Fight Night 118, with a bout against Lina Langsberg. She dominated Lina and pounded her with a ground-and-pound in the second round to secure a TKO victory. In her second fight, she defeated Tonya Evinger more convincingly. Ladd beat Evinger with a punch during the first round and earned a Performance of the Night bonus. Invicta FC fighter Sijara Eugenes was in the UFC's Fight Night dos anjos-lee fight with Eubanks of Sijara, was her first fight that she's had in a major capacity. Both fighters put up a back-and-forth encounter that ended with Ladd winning via unanimous decision and both fighters getting their Fight of the Night bonus. Ladd's first loss came in her next fight against Germaine de Randamie in Ladd's first UFC main event fight. Randamie ended Ladd after 16 seconds and ended her streak to win. Following a brief break her return to the ring and finished Yana Kunizkaya during the UFC's ESPN 7 third-round fight. In a recent replacement match to UFC, Norma Dumont was her opponent. It was a loss by majority decision.
