Amy Lou Adams, full name Amy Lou Adams (born 20 August 1974, in Aviano Italy), American actress. Her fame is as a naive character who are fun and loved by reviewers. Adams was born in Italy while her father served within the U.S. military and she grew up within Castle Rock Colorado as one of seven children. In the mid-1990s, she began singing and dancing professionally at Boulder's Dinner Theatre in Colorado and Country Dinner Playhouse. Then she moved to a regional theatre located in Minnesota and was offered a role in a mock documentary film concerning beauty pageant contests Drop Dead Gorgeous (1999). The actress moved in Los Angeles after making her debut on the screen as one of the contestants who was naive and good-natured. Between June 1951 and September 22, 1962 she got tied to actor Tony Curtis. She is also the mother of Kelly Curtis & Jamie Lee Curtis. Discovered by actor Norma Shearer Leigh secured a contract with MGM and started her film career in mid- to late 1940s. Through the years that followed she starred in several popular films including Alfred Hitchcock's Psycho (1960) as well as Living It Up by Martin & Lewis (a 1955 film).
